Fleamarket guide - Fehrbelliner Platz, Berlin

A market filled with nostalgia of times gone by.

Situated right next to Fehrbelliner Platz U-Bahn in a car park, this medium sized market is a treasure trove mix of antiques, clothes, art and jewellery. Time is easily passed looking at all the true vintage items. If it is clothes you seek we recommend going on a Saturday where most of the clothing sellers are on the same row. Lately we have seen some great vintage silk shirts and items from Prada, Fendi and Valentino. The clothing is usually of high quality at this market and the prices reflect this but generally they are fair and you can barter.

Our other favourite aspect is the large amount of antique decorative items from early to mid century. Infact the market is labelled as a ‘Kunst und Trödelmarkt’. From art deco and space age lamps, candlestick holders, Murano vases, posters, paintings and old Japanese kimonos - there is something for everyone and usually they are all lovingly displayed. For these items the sellers are generally professional.  Lately there are alot of jewellery stalls selling vintage and costume and also ones selling natural stone beads necklaces and bracelets.

If all that searching makes you in need of food and a drink there is a Biergarten and cafe adjacent to the market or alternatively head into Preußenpark for the famous Thai Market (best to check location before). If you fancy something more upmarket, a short walk away is a beautiful little French restaurant called ‘La Marinière’ on Leon-Jessel Platz - comes highly recommended!

We would love to hear your thoughts and if you found this helpful. Good luck hunting! 🖤
